Program Description:

California’s economy has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those businesses in low-income neighborhoods and communities of color that have been disproportionally impacted. According to research conducted by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), about a quarter of Californians remain hesitant about getting vaccinated. Together, the California Chamber of Commerce, California Business Roundtable, Southern California Leadership Council, California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, California African American Chamber of Commerce, and California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, all representing major employers, small businesses, and women- and minority-owned businesses, recognize the role the life-saving vaccines play in reducing transmission and increasing protection of the state’s workforce.

Available in English and Spanish, the PSAs offer an urgent reminder that the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and people should consider the wider benefits of getting vaccinated beyond themselves. Viewers are encouraged to sign up at myturn.ca.gov to know when it’s their turn to get the vaccine.
