Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Tobacco Control Program “Live Vape-Free”

“Live Vape-Free”  Campaign

Program Description

Vaping, the use of e-cigarettes or JUUL products, has rapidly increased among teens in Virginia, and we need your help.

The Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Tobacco Control Program are launching Live Vape Free℠ a program focused on helping parents and other concerned adults talk to young people about the harms of e-cigarette use and vaping. There are videos, live chat, toolkits, and activities to begin the conversation about vaping.

Live Vape Free℠ is also for young people who want to quit using e-cigarettes, JUUL, or vapes.
Vaping has become one of the most popular forms of substance use among young people, despite growing evidence of its health risks and harms. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 out of 5 high school students reported vaping in the last month in 2020.

Campaign Mission
  • Encourage Virginians to talk to their teens about vaping and health risks.
  • Provide information and resources on how to quit at www.livevapefreeva.org.
