Louisiana 988 Helpline – Radio PSA Campaign
EVERGREEN (no expiration date);
The Louisiana Department of Health, through its Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), would appreciate your support in airing its newly produced radio public service announcements (PSAs) on behalf of the Louisiana 988 campaign.
These PSAs promote the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline as a free, confidential, 24/7 resource that connects Louisianans to trained specialists at local call centers for emotional support and connection to local resources. The service supports individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health challenges, substance use concerns, or thoughts of suicide.
The 988 Lifeline was created to make it easier for people to get help when they need it, whether during a moment of crisis or when feeling overwhelmed. Callers remain in control of their conversation, and in most cases, support is provided without involving first responders.
Campaign Mission:
- Increase awareness of 988, reasons to call and what to expect
- Decrease stigma and normalize help seeking
- Increase intent to contact 988
- Direct viewers to louisiana988.org to learn more
