The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)
“Take Time. Save Lives.” Campaign
Program Description:
There are more than 14,000 active mines nationwide and they are located in every state but Hawaii. MSHA offers these mine operators free resources at MSHA.gov to raise awareness and to help train even the most seasoned miners. These resources include information on seatbelt usage, mobile equipment, conveyor safety, and other best practices.
The Take Time, Save Lives PSAs are intended to help bring critical information to the mining workforce and mine operators. Thank you for helping MSHA to promote safe and healthful workplaces for U.S. miners.
Campaign Mission:
- Encourage U.S. mine operators to offer miners effective training and quick safety measures to prevent mining fatalities, accidents and injuries.
- Promote safe and healthful workplaces for miners.
- Help ensure every miner gets home safe at the end of their shift.
- Provide mine communities with more information at MSHA.gov.
