Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes
“Supporting the Heroes Who Inspire Us All” Campaign
Evergreen (no expiration date)
The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes would appreciate your station or network’s participation in airing its recently produced TV public service announcements (PSAs). The most recent PSA distribution, released in July 2019, feature retired U.S. Army Sgt. Mary Herrera, who shares her story about being wounded in combat and then finding a way to continue her service with the Coalition’s assistance. The videos highlight how Herrera’s work with other wounded troops helped her to process her injury. The March 2019 PSAs feature retired Marine Corps Sgt. Rob Jones, who shares his story about striving to be a role model for other wounded veterans. The videos also feature Rob’s hero, MLB Hall of Fame and former Baltimore Oriole’s infielder Cal Ripken Jr.
The PSAs help support the Coalition’s mission to help severely-wounded veterans and families of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn recover from their injuries and illnesses, and to inspire other organizations and the general public to participate in this effort.
Restoring hope to a wounded hero can take a lifetime. Rebuilding his or her life takes a commitment from all of us. The Coalition provides a website, www.saluteheroes.org, with resources for wounded veterans, their families, and members of the public who would like to help.
