Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) – TV PSA
Caregiver Crisis Campaign
Program Description
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) asks for your support in airing its recently produced TV public service announcements (PSAs). The PSAs serve to raise awareness about the caregiver shortage in Idaho.
As the aging population rises in the United States, there is an increased demand for direct care professionals. With a projected 12% growth rate in direct care jobs over the next decade, caregivers are currently in short supply. Idaho in particular falls below the national average of direct care jobs and needs more qualified caregivers to meet current and future demands.
The Caregiver Crisis PSA campaign includes the experiences of three women who share the benefits of becoming a caretaker. Viewers who are interested in becoming a caregiver are encouraged to visit IdahoCares.dhw.Idaho.gov to learn how to begin their career.
