“Be Safe Rx” Campaign

Program Description: FDA BeSafeRx is a national campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of buying prescription medicines from fake online pharmacies. This campaign provides the resources to help consumers know the risks and find safe online pharmacies.

Campaign Mission:

• Provide consumer awareness about the “Drug Facts” label that appears on OTC medication packaging
• Inform consumers about what is found on the label; including active ingredients, the medicine’s purpose, how much to take and warnings
• Provide a website for more information and resources at www.fda.gov/drugfactslabel.
