“COVID Mine Safety” Campaign

Program Description:

As COVID-19 has impacted the mining community, MSHA issued guidance in March 2021 for mining operators to keep miners safe in the workplace. This guidance encourages operators to consider making a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccination series available at no cost to all eligible employees and provides information and training on the benefits and safety of vaccinations. MSHA is trusted in the mining community and can provide outreach to miners to encourage them to get vaccinated. By reaching out to miners as they travel to and from work, we can share an important reminder that vaccinations can support health and safety in the workplace and at home.

These PSAs help bring critical information to the mining workforce. Thank you for helping MSHA to promote safe and healthful workplaces for U.S. miners.
