Dementia Society of America
“Get a Check-up from the Neck Up – Brain Health” Campaign
Program Description
Recent studies have shown there are 55 million people around the globe living with Dementia, a syndrome that represents the fourth-leading cause of death in high-income countries. Encouraging regular brain check-ups and promoting DSA’s free guide will help to reduce these statistics. Annual cognitive screenings are recommended for older adults by both DSA and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
In these PSAs, Volunteer and President of DSA, Kevin Jameson, encourages viewers to request DSA’s free guide by visiting 1800dementia.org or by calling 1-800-DEMENTIA for more information.
These three PSAs (:15, :30, :60) address the confusion so many of us have about dementia and direct listeners to the free guide for answers.
