“Better than Ed” Campaign

Program Description: The Center for Biological Diversity and Ed Begley Jr. recently produced three PSAs to raise awareness for three major issues: energy waste, food waste and unsustainable growth of our human population.

As the population increases, so does the demand for natural resources. This has a negative effect on endangered species and the earth. Sustainability is imperative if we want to see a thriving future.

Ed Begley Jr. is known for being a funny actor and a serious environmental activist. The Center uses Begley’s contradicting characteristics to support their campaign. While the PSAs are humorous, viewers will be left thinking about unavoidable issues and how they can make a difference. The PSAs end with a call-to-action to visit www.BetterThanEd.org.
