Program Description:

Alabama 811, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation dedicated to keeping Alabama safe and connected, would appreciate your support in airing its recently produced television public service announcements (PSAs). The PSAs serve to remind homeowners and excavators to use the AL811 service before digging around underground utilities.

Damaging an underground utility can cause many problems, including outages, injury, and even loss of life. AL811 is a free communication resource for damage prevention of underground infrastructure. Homeowners and excavators can place a locate request by calling 811 or submitting it online through AL811.com. Through this simple process, underground utilities are located and marked to help avoid potential excavation damage.

This campaign includes two (2) PSAs in English:
“Comforts of Home” – 15 seconds
“Comforts of Home” – 30 seconds

The PSAs encourage anyone planning a digging project to contact 811 before excavating. More information is available at AL811.com.
